Today, the Alliance for a Competitive European Industry (ACEI) has called for a new industrial partnership between the EU and its major industries.

The 2010 edition of the Technology Platform will feature the national and regional dimension of textile research and innovation, showcasing the strategies and activities of national/regional platforms, clusters and networks from across Europe.

As part of the work of the European IPeuropeAware Project (2007-2010) a practical handbook for all issues related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and their protection across the EU and in major EU trading partner countries such as the US, China, India and Russia has been developed.

On 4th February 2010 three European Technology Platforms for the textiles and clothing, the footwear and the sports goods sectotrs jointly organised a public conference to showcase research and innovation trends across a range of design-based consumer goods industries in Europe.
