Designed to Surprise – European Conference on Consumer Goods Research & Innovation - Roadmap

On 4th February 2010 three European Technology Platforms for the textiles and clothing, the footwear and the sports goods sectors jointly organised a public conference to showcase research and innovation trends across a range of design-based consumer goods industries in Europe.
In the future further sectors such as the consumer goods activities of the wood, paper and ceramics sectors are expected to join a permanent initiative which will seek to collectively raise the profile of research and innovation needs in these sectors in European policy. A research and innovation roadmap is being developed of which a first draft is available.
