Working groups in the field of environment are seven and correspond directly to policy areas. These are : Chemicals, Integrated product policy (IPP), Integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC), Waste and recycling, Ecolabel, Dyers & Finishers  and Trade and Environment. The latter is an interdisciplinary group and its secretariat is shared with that of Commercial and Industrial Policy.
